Club Meeting - October 14, 2010
Posted by Dave Dyck
The meeting was chaired by Scott Webb.
Roosje Bollen, Exchange Student, provided an update.
Barry Reported that about only 80 tickets have been sold for Oktoberfest. We have planned for 200 tickets and will need to sell more if we want to cover our costs. The event will proceed but we will need to promote the event more. Barry also asked for volunteers to sell bar tickets, run the bar, set up on Friday at 7PM and clean up on Sunday morning at 10.
Remember - Oktoberfest tickets will continue to be sold including tickets being available at the door. Help spread the word!
We had a vocational presentation by Terry Rowat. Terry Grew up in Calgary and attended the University of Calgary and the University of Saskatchewan. After completing her Vetrinarian training, Terry came to Vermilion to work at the Vermilion Vet Clinic and later had the opportunity to join Lakeland College in Vermilion as an instructor, where she continues to work today. Terry chose this careeer because of her love for animals. Thank you, Terry, for sharing your story with us this morning!
Have a great weekend everyone, see you next Thursday!
