Birthdays: Dawn, October 13 and Craig October 15.
Highlights of the Month from Gus: Played his first football game (bounced off a few bigger guys), tried skating (had some younger skaters helping him along, but would still like to try hockey when he gets a little more practice), had Canadian Thanksgiving (the pumpkin pie and apple crisp was amazing) and he heads off for leadership next week. Gus has also taped a bucket list of Canadian activities to the bulletin board. If you haven’t had the opportunity to experience this young man’s humor, you’re missing out. Help him cross items off the bucket list. He’s game for anything!!
Interact Club: This years interact club is already active helping out with a BBQ on the weekend. There are six members and a couple youngsters waiting to be old enough to join. Thank you Charlene for hosting the organizational meeting.
District Governor Visit: DG Laura Morie will be visiting our club on October 26 and 27th. On the 26th she will be toured around town, attend an executive dinner meeting and meet our members at a dessert social. The next morning she will be guest speaker at our regular meeting.
Chamber Gala: Loretta and Dawn and anyone who would like to assist, will be bartending at the Chamber Small Business Gala on October 19th.
Polio Donation: Eugene suggested that perhaps we should divert the money that we usually donate to Polio towards shelter boxes or Stop Hunger Now. Please think about the suggestion for a future meeting.
Social Committee: See Dawn if you’d like to be part of the Social Committee.
Calendar Binders: Binders are overdue. Please hand into Kirby by Thursday. If you can help finish canvasing or you need help canvassing, please contact Kirby.
