Regular Club Meeting Minutes

 

 

  1. Ring the bell, Call to Order, O Canada, Rotary Prayer   (O Lord and Giver of all good, we thank Thee for our daily food. May Rotary Friends and Rotary Ways help us to serve Thee all our days. Amen)

 

  1. The Four Way Test

Of all the things we think, say or do:

  • is the TRUTH?
  • is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • WILL it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

 

  1. Welcomes: Bethan and Graham from Lakeland College’s Student Managed Farm

  1. Birthdays /Anniversary: Scott and Bernie Anniversary 32 years! Congratulations on your new granddaughter too!

 

  1. Business:       
  • Financial Statement - Eugene motioned that the club accept the Financial Statement presented for 2016-2017. Shawn Jacula seconded. Motion Carried.
  • Acceptance of Financial Auditor: Eugene motioned that the club continue to use Deborah A. Tovell as the accounting for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. Shawn seconded. Motion Carried.   
  • Harvest Gala: Shawn let the club now (with a few happy tears) that Harvest Gala raised $85 000 Saturday evening. Shawn is going to inquire into Danny Hooper’s availability for November 2, 2019.
  • Festival of Trees: November 23-25 at the mall. This is a call for cookies, please contact Janine or Dawn if you are willing to donate cookies to the event. A sign up sheet will be going around next week and by email this weekend.

 

  1. Student Managed Farm: A wonderful presentation from Lakeland College Students on the Student Managed Farm and how it operates and helps students succeed!

 

  1. Next week meeting: Team 3 for breakfast

    COMING UP:

        November 22-23 - District Governor Frank coming to visit details to follow.

        November 30 - off site meeting at Lakeland College Dairy Barn
