  2. Our guest this morning was Anuj, Shoppers Drug Mart.
  3. Thank you team one for  breakfast.
  4.  Birthdays/Anniversaries:  None recorded.
  5. Town Cleanup:  Rotary has a new area for the Town Cleanup.  Please meet at the Pollinator Garden, at 9 AM on Saturday to pickup supplies.  There will be a BBQ at the Town Office after cleanup for all volunteers.
  6. Rebekah and Justin attended the District Conference in Westlock (the theme being “What Are You Waiting For?”).   Both came away with an appreciation that Rotary is larger than just our club and that each club has unique priorities and projects.  Both think that Danny Hooper will be a great addition to our Harvest Gala.  Next year the Conference will be held in Ft. McMurry.
  7. Addition to 2017-18 Executive:  Moved by Justin Thompson and seconded by Mary Lee Prior that Shawn Jacula be accepted as the Public Relations Chair for the 2017-18 Rotary term.  Carried.
  8. Dessert with Gus:  As part of his fundraising efforts, Gus will be hosting a Taste of Brazil Dessert Night, May 25th, 7:00  PM at the Brown home.  Rumor has it that he is not only providing the dessert, but that he’s  the entertainment as well.  Cost for the evening is $10.  Please RSVP with numbers to Craig or Gus.
  9. Paul Harris:  Craig was presented with his Paul Harris +1 this morning.  Congratulations Craig.
  10. New Member Proposal:  Welcome our newest Rotarian to be,  JP Pettyjohn .  JP will be sworn in at his next meeting.
  11. VES Hot Lunch:  Dawn requires two more workers for the next hot lunch day, May 16.  Please let her know if you can help out.
  12. Update on Garage Sale Awards:  I was enjoying Deb’s awards so much, I forgot to record the Mike/Michelle Webb 25th Anniversary Award.  Let’s just say that next year Mike has a special gift to give to Michelle to celebrate the special occasion.
  13. Dawn is planning special events on June 29th as this will be  her next to last day as chair.  Stay tuned for more information.
  14. Cash Draw:  Dawn is just waiting for the raffle license number to proceed with printing the new cash draw tickets.
  15. Quilt Show:  For information, Eugene shared details of the Quilt Show being held this weekend.  Hours are 10-5 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday.  Congratulations to Eugene and Carol on celebrating 20 years of being in business.
  16. Cash Draw Winners
  • $150 Kaitlyn MacKinnon (Sold by Lorne)
  • $100 Marilyn Bossert (Sold by Eugene)
  1.  Sargent at Arms:  Rebekah finally got  a chance to assess some of the garage sale fines.  Kirby, sorry man, you owe for missing the garage sale.  Craig, apparently selling a chair to the Sargent’s husband when she doesn’t need another one, is not a good idea, pay up.  Dawn paid Laurel’s fine for feeding us so well  at the garage sale (hard to lose weight walking with food in your hand).    Fines were also handed out to miscellaneous members, most paid before being asked to.
  2. Next week our meeting will be held at VES.  Parking in front is fine unless Dawn tells us differently.
