Thank you team four, breakfast was delicious. Guests were Cliff McCauley, Laurel Wynnychuk, Angela Wilm, Doug Stewart and Emily Anderson. Happy Birthday to Jeff and Art Boggs (both on the 31st) and Happy Anniversary to Mike and Laurel Wynnychuk on June 1st.
Our club will have the opportunity to purchase jackets with the new Rotary logo. Doug Stewart brought a couple jackets as examples, but feel free to drop by Craig’s should you wish to try on something different (like a vest). Dawn will place a group order in about three weeks. Payment must be included with your order (cheques made out to Vermilion Rotary please).
As Dawn was not able to attend the remainder of the meeting, Rebekah introduced guest speaker Angela Wilm. Angela, an instructor at Lakeland College shared her experiences leading a group of Lakeland College students on an overseas practicum to the poorer areas of Hawaii. Students helped in the classrooms and gained a new perspective working with orphans, English as a second language students and immigrant students.
Teresa had an eventful week white water rafting and participating in hurdles at zones. Her second supper is this weekend.
If you would like to host Gustavo, our next Rotary student, please give Mike a call.
Next week our guest speaker is Aulden Reid and the Robot Boys are coming for breakfast.
When you have all three tickets in the card draw, you have a good chance of winning and that’s what Brenda and Teresa did. Congrats on drawing the ace of spades.
