Calendar Project: Moved by Brenda Lee and seconded by Jean Vidal that the Calendar Project continue. Discussion followed. Motion defeated (votes for the motion 0, votes against 15, 2 members abstained).
Come by the Hills Music Festival: Moved by John Lunty and seconded by Justin Thompson that Rotary purchase a Bronze Sponsorship for the Come By the Hills Music Festival. Carried. Bruce suggested maybe Rotarians as a group could volunteer to work a shift at the music festival, as many Rotarians attend festivities on that weekend.
Youth Exchange: The District Youth Exchange Committee has disbanded. This leaves the future of student exchange undetermined at this time. More info to follow.
Garage Sale Update: Dates are April 20,21, and 22 in the curling rink. Newspapers and Facebook will have information starting this week.
Integrity Awards: Please forward all nominations for Integrity Awards to Ken by March 31. Nominations will be judged by the Four Way test and Service Above Self.
Good News: Baby Bently is on his way home after his surgery. He’s doing fine.
Books for Belize: Robin’s C-Can is sitting in Guatemala only 1.5 days late. Robin and Linda will fly out tomorrow to help distribute the books.
Interact News: Please join the Interact Members on March 15th, 6:30 at Kirby’s store as they host students from the college. These students from India will share their culture and learn public speaking skills.
Update From Gus: Fishing at -40 with nets, tipping over the dogsled, watching northern lights swim over the lake, winning silver at curling zones, and snowboarding at Fernie and Table Mountain!!! Last month was busy for Gus. Gus will be leaving for home on July 27th. This gives Rotarians lots of time to share their summer adventures with him.
