  7. Integrity Awards: Dean made a motion to accept Pat Calyniuk and Brian Crisp as our Integrity Awards honourees. The motion was seconded by Brenda. Carried.
  8. Garage Sale (Brenda Lee): As there will be two venues this year (the Curling Rink as well as the Heritage Pavilion) it is all hands on deck! Please sign up to volunteer. The first night of the garage sale and April 9th for the intake of donations will be especially busy.
  9. Presidential Citation: Dawn is excited to announce we are one of eight clubs (thus far) in the district to earn our Presidential Citation!
  10. Rotary 100 years-Edmonton Club-we are invited to attend.
  11. Vermilion Hot Lunch Program (Shannon Leonard): Shannon outlined the background and current format of the program. They serve meals (referencing the Canada Food Guide) to 150-300 students on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. There are 2 paid staff and several volunteers, including students from the Outreach School . The program runs from October to mid June. Shannon presented us with the opportunity for our club to sponsor one (or more) of their 25 subsidized students for the year. The cost of sponsorship is $450/student for the year.
  12. Social Media (Shawn Jacula): Like our Facebook pages Rotary Club of Vermilion Alberta and Interact Club of Vermilion Alberta. Shawn would like to start sharing member profiles on our Facebook page; please contact him to volunteer. If you have pictures, videos, etc. to share, please contact him. Shawn discussed several tips and tricks for using social media effectively. The hashtag for the upcoming garage sale is #RotaryGarageSale. Watch your email for a tip sheet with more information!
  13. Coffee/Polio Plus Campaign update (Brenda Lee): Brenda reminded us to keep donating.
  14. Adventures in Photography (Lorne): the deadline is coming up to submit a student. A spot has become available for us to send a student to Adventures in Citizenship.

  16. Charter Night: April 17th. Volunteers are needed to help set up.
