11) Many of you are likely aware that the Rotary International President-Elect Sam Owori passed away suddenly in this past week. His vision for Rotary, which would have been reflected in the presidential citation goals and the message for the next year, was one of increasing Rotary membership worldwide, including greater inclusivity and diversity within club membership. He would have been the first RI President from Uganda. His death leaves a large hole in the rotary leadership on the international level. I know that it can be easy at times for us to focus on Rotary just within our club, but the international component of Rotary, including the leadership provided by the RI president, helps shape our goals and our focus worldwide. Dawn has posted some information on our Facebook page, including the procedure that will be followed to find a new president elect. There is also information posted at Rotary.org for those of you who are interested in learning more about him, and his tenure with Rotary.

12) Presentation about International Convention.
