1. Our guest this morning was Louise Cartwright.  Thank you team one for an awesome breakfast.  There were no birthdays or anniversaries to celebrate.
  2. Are you ordering a jacket, vest or other Rotary clothing?  If so and you have not stopped  at Craigs to make your pick, please do so by August 11th.  Remember that your order will not be placed unless Dawn receives your payment by August 11th (Eugene will use one cheque to pay for the entire order).
  3. Fair booth winners were:  Ken Fremark (spelling not correct) winning the $2016 cash raffle and Greg Lumley winning the earlybird on the calendar draw.  Proceeds were down and several suggestions were discussed as to why. Suggestions to improve the raffle were also discussed.  To date 170 calendar subscriptions have been sold.
  4. Dawn will be asking volunteers to sign up for the Vermilion Elementary School Hot Lunch Program.  Volunteers get to join the students for lunch on those days.  More information to follow.
  5. Would you like to chair  the social committee?  The job would entail planning an evening social on the fifth Thursday of any month with five Thursdays.  This is a wonderful opportunity for a new member.  Thank you Dean for volunteering on this committee for so many “eventful Thursdays”.
  6. Kirby is talking calendar and will have the binders ready to go in September.  Sign-up list will continue to circulate in August.
  7. We have been approached by the The Vermilion Chamber of Commerce to bartend at the Gala again this year on October 19th.  Loretta and Dawn  volunteered.  Dawn will contact the Chamber for profit splitting details.
  8. Rotary received a thank  you card and $50 donation from a young gal (sorry didn’t get name) in appreciation for borrowing our piano.
  9. Plans are underway for another Rotary orientation evening.  Brenda will be sending out an e-mail with details.  Please reply to Brenda with your date of choice.
  10. Congratulations to Greg Johnston ($150) and Ron Hartwell ($100) who were the first winners in our cash draw.
  11. Sergeant at Arms fines:  We all felt sorry for one table where everyone paid (and no it wasn’t the guys’ table but we do love your phone ring Robin) so we all paid in sympathy.
