Club Meeting - August 13, 2015

Meeting called to order at 7 am

No birthdays – just Dawn’s family!
Kirby attended the Good life Institute meeting. On Saturday September 26, Arts in the Park is going to use the oven. Kirby will learn how to use the oven. Heritage carriages will be at the showground; volunteers are needed to work grill and deep fryer. More details to follow.
Next Thursday, August 20, our meeting room is booked to learn how to navigate the Rotary website. Bring your own device. We will receive a presidential citation if we have 50% of club access site.
Monday August 17 travelling to the Vegreville Rotary Club for their lunch meeting. Leaving at 11 am from the Prairie Place parking lot.

Bus going to Dawson Creek. Dawn, Brenda, Jess and Justin plan on attending. The $450 that is raised through the card draw to be split between those attending conference. Let Dawn know if you are going.

Tessa gave presentation on Foundation. Explained how funding within Foundation operates; 5370 - $155.37 per person. Presented information on application deadlines on District Grants that use a deadline and Global grant applications that can be more than a year. Global grants having six areas of focus. Explained how dues are separate from Foundation funds. All Foundation funds come from Rotarians to support Polio Plus, Annual Program Funds and the Permanent (Endowment) Fund.
