6) Update to Executive for 2017-2018
-Charlene Carey has agreed, beginning in September, to serve as our New Generations Chair
Dawn to make motion to add her to executive Bruce seconded. Motion carried
7) Reminder about criminal record checks – if you’re a new member and haven’t done one, they are required for assisting with the Interact club, or for any future exchange student. Useful to keep up to date – they are good for three years, and some may take longer than others. If you get one done, you mail it to the District ℅ Rene and they will enter you into the database.
8) Update for Organizational Chart
-Few minor updates and suggestions came out of Executive meeting. We will be circulating an updated version likely in a month once we have confirmed some information
-Shawn Jacula has agreed to be the chair of the Fair Raffle, unless anyone else in the club is interested in taking on this project.
-If you are interested in being involved on a committee, or interested in learning more about what is involved with a project or an executive position, please talk to the committee chair or a member of the executive.
9) Social for August
Dawn and Randy are inviting everyone and they spouses of course and kids! to their place on August 22, 6:00 for a potluck social. The club will provide the meat and a sign up will go around for veggies, salad or dessert. An official invite will come by email this weekend,
10) Signing up to chair meetings - Jean will have sign-up in a week for people to sign up all year for meetings.
11) Ideas of guest speakers - speak to the person chairing the month
12) If you would like to give a vocational, speak to Rebekah: They are the third Thursday of the month.
13) Go around and say something positive about your summer

Brenda: friends family, positive reaction from community over the flag project has been the highlight!
Lorne: is a great summer and positive things!
Mary Lee: got to camp lots (33 nights)
Jean: new grandson, bike roadtrip
Robin: been a great summer!
JP: purchase of new house in Mannville
John: pretty uneventful!! (JK! got married!), lots of travel, camping busy
Ken: busy summer, first grandson July 10!
Kirby: community BBQ’s for Robotics, got to visit communities members
Bruce: May long highlight was three weeks in Europe to visit, lots of grand baby time, summer will not end until end of September
Laurel: Flag project, Theresa has been here for a few weeks and it has been wonderful
Dawn: Georgia, Chris around (never had boys!)
Rebekah: little plants appear to be alive getting our yard and house slowly into the home we want
Chris: coming to work on the farm and put flags out with Bruce
Randy: getting the to do list done due to Chris!
