Business Meeting Minutes
- Call to Order, O Canada, Prayer, Four way test
- Welcome and Introduction of Guests:
- Thanks to Team 2 for breakfast today!
- Birthdays /Anniversary: Bernie Webb May 12, Karl Vidal May 12, Bobbi McMullen May 13
- Request for Funding:
- Interact Club - a request support for their June 7th Community Long Table Dinner, help covering the cost of supplies (plates, cups, napkins, utensils, drinks) The Executives recommendation is to invite them to join us to present a dollar amount. Bruce made a motion that the club provide up to $150 to help, on the contingency that they attend a meeting. Scott seconded. Motion Carried. The kids are joining us on May 24th!
- Business:
Flag Sales Project: Roughly sold 200 so far, please pass on to Mary Lee and Craig if you have
money/orders. There is a struggle this year to get Rotarians out canvassing. There will be pictures and a story in next weeks paper.
Youth Exchange Update: Next meeting there will information regarding Youth Exchange.
Social Committee: There is a social next Thursday evening at 7 pm in the Club room, Telles v (Exchange 2006-2007) and his family are joining us. Please bring a light snack with you! Budget and executive update for next year.
2018-2019: Theme is Be the Inspiration. An email with the new budget is coming in the next week, please view and address any questions you have regarding that to Rebekah. The budget will be discussed at the first meeting in June. A request was put in to also receive a to date of the 2017-2018 budget at the same time as the 2018-2019 projections.
Off-Site Meeting: The Lodge has invited us to join them on June 28, 2019 to see the renovations.
Charter Night report: “I think the evening was a wonderful evening.” “The Venue was a nice roomy area, enjoyable.” The next year budget has accounted for the Elks Hall as the venue next year.
- Butz wedding bartending: We have been asked to bartend a wedding on July 14 at the Regional Centre. We will need 4 people for this event. Please let Dawn know ASAP if you would like to help out that night! (People are needed more through the beginning and dinner time and ticket selling)
- Lookout: May 10th is the cleanup 7:00 pm please bring spade and a broom and a squeegee.
- Next Meeting: May 17th, Adventures in Citizenship student coming
