Breakfast Meeting - October 8, 2009

The morning's meeting was chaired by Club President, Shirley McRobert.
Breakfast was prepared by Bob and Eileen. Thank you for a great start to the morning!
Barry provided an update on the Oktoberfest event. We still need a chairperson for the bar service as well as volunteers to help with the bar. Barry provided us with an update on the German Cuisine that will be on the menu for the Supper. Tickets are now available and we need to get final ticket numbers by the end of this week. Dean reminded us to help find more items for the Silent Auction as this is one of the main fundraisers for our club.
Ken Smith reminded the group about updating their profiles in Clubrunner. You can go to our club site on Clubrunner, click on "Login" on the top right, then under "My Clubrunner" select "Edit my Profile". This should allow you to update your personal information for the Club.
Eileen reported that volunteers were in place for the Bingo in St. Paul on October 12th.
Jim williams, formerly with our club, visited us this morning. Jim has been instrumental in starting the Bahia de Jaltemba Rotary Club in La Paneta, Mexico (100 km North of Peurto Vallarta). Jim reported briefly on the school project his club was sponsoring in Mexico. It is good to hear about your club and thanks for stopping in Jim!
Susan is working with local schools to recruit students for our exchange program for next year. If you know of a student who is interested to learn more about the exchange program please pass their name on to Susan.
