Breakfast Meeting - May 6, 2010
Posted by Dave Dyck
Club President, Shirley McRobert chaired the meeting.
Ramzi announced that he is leaving on a vacation then moving to Victoria where his daughter is planning to attend university. All the best to you and your family Ramzi, it has been great having you in our club!
Bruce and his family are participating in a cancer fundraiser and several rotarians took the opportunity to participate with sponsorship. It's also good to hear that Bruce's grandaughter is doing well after her treatments. We all wish her a full recovery!
We are planning a Lobster Fest for June 10th for Rotarians and their families. We will require pre-registration for this event well in advance so that the correct amount of lobsters can be ordered. If you are planning to attend please use the on-line registration under the events tab. The cost will be approx $20/person and you will be asked to bring a salad or dessert. Sounds like fun, hope to see you there!
Ken Smith updated us on the Adventures in Firefighting camp that is coming up on May 24 to 27. Ken is expecting 24 students and is in need of both male and female chaperones as well as assistance with events. If you can help please contact Ken.
For those attending the District Conference, have a safe trip and enjoy the conference. We all look forward to hearing about it next week!
