Club President, Shirley McRobert chaired the meeting.

John and Marnie, Shirley McRobert, Brenda, Dean and Dwight attended the district conference in Drayton Valley. They enjoyed both the formal and social parts of the conference. Fun was had by all! Next year's District Conference will be held in Athabasca.

Ken Smith updated us on the Adventures in Firefighting on May 24 to 27. 23 students are expected to participate in this camp.

Scott provided some more details on the Lobster Fest that is planned. The event will be held on June 10th at 6:00 PM at Scott's house. You can register on-line by clicking on "Lobster Fest" in the "Upcoming Events" section of the bulletin. Pre-registration is necessary so that the correct number of lobsters can be ordered. Hope to see you there!

Dillon Lavoy presented on his experience in Adventures in Technology. Dillon, one of 22 students who participated in this program in Saskatoon, found the experience very valuable and a lot of fun. Dillon says this program will likely help him decide what career he wishes to pursue and expressed his appreciation for the sponsorship that our club had provided. Thanks for sharing your experience with us Dillon!

John Lunty, Incoming Club President, discussed the budget for the 2010/11 year. John expressed concern about current financial trends and our ability to meet our financial goals for the longer term. He challenged each one of us to think about our involvement in fundraising programs and asked for suggestions on how we could improve on our fundraising.
