Shirley McRobert, Club President, chaired the meeting.

Darren King was our guest speaker for the morning. Darren is with the Lloydminster Rotary Club and is also on the District Youth Exchange Committee. Darren talked about the challenges and rewards that come with participation in a Youth Exchange Program. Students will be challenged to have the following priorities when participating in an exchange:

1. Be First - I will be a person of action
2. Be Curious - I need to understand
3. Be on Purpose - I begin with a purpose in mind
4. Be Grateful - I focus on things I can be thankful for
5. Be of Service - I give of myself
6. Be Here Now - I live in the moment

Darren also challenged exchange hosts, counselors and all Rotarians to apply the above values in their role in the program.

Thanks for a very informative and encouraging presentation Darren!

Let's be reminded that our club is still looking for host families for our inbound exchange student. Talk to Susan McCulley if you are interested.

Scott updated us on lobster fest. The directions to Scott's house are 1.25 miles south from the Vertec corner (RR63), their place is on the left hand side. Watch for the "Scott and Bernie Webb" sign. If you need to review the details of the event you can click on "Lobster Fest" in the events tab.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
