Breakfast Meeting - January 7, 2010

Congratulations to Susan and Rob McCulley on the safe arrival of Alexander James on December 18th!
Eileen reported that the Bingo last night had been well attended.
Eileen is also working on a brochure to help promote our club as well as utilizing a grant from RI to run a full page ad on Rotary Day in February. The Club approved the expenditure for a one page ad in a local newspaper.
The financial statements for the year ending June 2009 were distributed and approved.
Ken Morrison agreed to chair the Fair Fundraising project. A new booth will be built for this year's Fair.
Bruce provided an update on his granddaughter's health and thanked everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Presently she is doing well and responding to treatment. A fund is to be set up to assist the family with the cost of ongoing treatment.
Sponsor Pins were presented to Rotarians who had sponosored new members. Dean, Bruce, Scott, Lloyd, Eugene,Art, Dwight, Shirley McRobert, Emile, Brenda, Ken Morrison, Glen Smith, Doug and Barry were recognized.
Barry was presented with a plaque recognizing his service as president in 2008/9. Job well done Barry!
Eugene was recognized for 35 years as a Rotarian with a "Service Above Self" plaque. Thank you for all you have contributed over the years Eugene!
Art was recognized for 30 years as a Rotarian and was presented with a Paul Harris pin. Art, thanks for everything you have done in Rotary over the years!
John Brecknock reminded us of the upcoming Garage Sale on April 17 and 18. He will need some volunteers to help with the garage sale which has been very successful in the past.
A Roving Dinner is planned for January 23rd. If you are willing to be one of the 3 hosts, please contact Gary.
Our cash draw went to Rob Clark ($100) and Neil King ($75). Congratulations!
