Breakfast Meeting - January 28, 2010

The meeting was chaired by Club President, Shirley McRobert.
If you are interested in making a personal contribution to the Shelter Box program there is more information available on the District web site. The Government of Canada has removed the original cap of $50 million in matching funds and will continue to match contributions to eligible relief agencies. Shelter Box is eligible for these matching funds. You can also contact Barry if you would like more information.
John, Barry, Shirley and Eugene will represent our Club in the District Curling Bonspiel.
Ken Morrison updated us on the Gazebo Project and showed us some potential designs.
Barry is involved in the local Habitat for Humanity project. Presently the committee is working on the process of selecting an eligible partner family. There will be an open house in the provincial building on February 3rd for anyone interested in learning more about the Habitat program. More information is available at the Town Office as well. You can also find information on the Vermilion Habitat project on Facebook.
Craig Brown reported that he has been working on our application to do a Casino fundraiser and we will likely have this in place for this Fall. The date and location will be selected later.
