Presentation from Friends of Vermilion Health Center:
Kim and Samantha gave us a wonderful presentation on the Neptune Rover Fluid System and what a valuable piece of needed equipment it is for our local hospitals OR.
There are around 7 doctors that use the OR in Vermilion to do surgeries. Surgeries are usually done everyday.
Cost is around $65,000. The purchase cost will include a 5-year maintenance plan and training. This machine reduces the exposure to infectious fluid, surgical smoke, minimises risk of infection, enhances the workflow for staff, and improves patient outcome and team safety. We have 3 OR’s in Vermilion. OR staff consists of 6 RNs and 4 LPNs.
