Adventures in Citizenship Experience - Brett Chetter

Brett is going into his final year of High School at St.Jerome's this Fall. Brett spent 4 days in Ottawa and spoke of many of the highlights of his trip including his first flying experience, the many great people he travelled with and all the interesting sights in Ottawa. His time in Ottawa included a bus tour of Ottawa, a visit to a museum and to Parliament Hill. Brett had a chance to sit in the Prime Minister's chair in the House of Commons, our MP Leon Benoit's chair and had a photo taken with Mr. Benoit. Brett and his group also participated in an immigration ceremony. Brett calls this a "once in a life time opportunity" and hopes others from his school will want to go next year. Brett also expressed his appreciation to the Rotary for sponsoring him on this trip.
