  • College President – Most hands-on education in Canada, First and only student managed farm, only integrated power plant, only post secondary institution in Canada where students manage commercial sized bison, beef, crop, equine and dairy enterprises.
New Board Members Kelly Smith-Fraser (first female board chair for the Alberta Beef Producers, served on Canadian Cattle Association, chair of the AFSC Board of Directors – from the Olds area), Barb Shackel-Hardman (has 34 years of public service at the provincial and municipal level.)
New Vice President of Academic and Research Dr. Todd Sumner. Moved to Vermilion
Experiential Learning and Work-related integrated experience key to LLC coursework.
Bentley Building Renovation will be starting soon. Residences have recently been updated.
Lakeland Ranks 33rd in Canada as an Applied Research College.

Lakeland brings the Bison Home – the first post-secondary institution in the country with a commercial bison operation.
Next week is the 40th anniversary of the College Barn moving to the Fair Grounds. (The barn fell of the trailer and blocked the road for a week)
