  1. O Canada/Four Way Test

  4. New Business
    1. Olivia Elder Request – Is requesting help with her new service animal. She will be presenting next week.
    2. Hearts and Hands Request – Betty is not comfortable doing presentations but is willing to come to the club to answer any questions. The Scott Motions that the Vermilion Club Donate $550 to the Hearts and Hands Society. Eugen Seconded it. Voted and approved.
    3. Vermilion Minor Ball Request – Chris is coming to present on September 21st. We do not have pricing at this point but that information should be available. The Club currently contributes annually $500 to the organization. Question as to what the annual donation is used for, it historically was used for operational costs like facility rentals and officiating.
    4. Minor Hockey Request – Minor hockey is requesting 1200 for the next two years for Jersey sponsorships. They appear to be going back to their old model for sponsorship. They have given a list of teams that need sponsorships. U9 in Scott’s opinion would have the most enduring (Teams would be stable each year) Scott proposes that we resume our budgeted Minor Hockey Funds and sponsor the U9 team for 600$ per year. Dawn seconded. Erwin clarified that over the last number of years that VMH with less teams let the service clubs go. Scott mentioned that Minor Hockey donates significant time to our garage sale. Vote – Passed
    5. Rainbow of Hope – Request for additional funds for a new school project they are looking at. Are we interested as a club in donating to this project. Bruce wondered if we currently involved in an international project. We currently show book for Belize.
    6. Vermilion Library Request – Requesting money for a lift. The executive is suggesting that we commit 10k towards the lift. Bruce motions that we donate $10,000 to the library project as recommended by the executive. Seconded by Dave. Vote Passed.
  5. Old Business
    1. Guests/Vocationals. – invite for a volunteer to do a vocational on the 3rd week in September to show people how its done.
    2. Bruce to get an update from the Seniors about their Floor.
