Business
  • Garage Sale Volunteer “Funding” – Scott passed out sign up sheets for the garage sale. Thursday Friday Saturday the week before are BIG days for intake. Rotarians who have things to drop off can come the weekend of April 15th and help with setup and transfer of items from the Sea Can and Fair booth. There are a bunch of options for people to contribute. Please ensure that Rotarians and Volunteers sign our volunteer sheets to help track the hours contributed to this project.
  • Presentation from Senior Citizens Centre – Stirling Mc. New President of the Vermilion Senior Centre. Thanked the Club for their contribution to the new security lights at the senior’s centre. They are currently targeting two significant items, a new lawn mower, and to repair the flooring in the hall used for floor curling where the glue appears to be coming up through the tile. They thought it could be moisture, that has been investigated and ruled out. There is added cost to having the floor curling tile inlaid into it. They are working with Toma who has approach their suppliers to help determine cause and mediation to return the floor to an acceptable condition. The addition was built in 1991.
  • Motion from the floor. Scott motions “that the club allocate the first $5,000 from the garage sale to the floor at the seniors” seconded by MaryLee. Brief discussion – motion carried.
  • Cash Draw. Winners John Laurence, Brenda Miller.
