Letter from Scott-

Good morning, Everyone!

I feel very bad that I cannot attend this morning’s meeting, due to my annual bout with Covid.  Next year I will try to schedule my Covid session well ahead of the garage sale so I can help the whole time.
I want to express my profound gratitude to everyone who has helped so far with this year’s garage sale and thank in advance all those who will be working the sale.
I want to give special thanks to the Garage Sale Committee.  I have been so impressed with their level of knowledge and experience, not to mention the tremendous number of hours they have already contributed to the preparation for the sale.  This is a true testimony to Brenda’s ability to put a talented team together and maintain such high standards of excellence.
I would like to recognize the committee members: Rotarians Darlene, Bruce, Laurel, Loretta, Dave, Shawn, Mike Webb and Eugene and Honorary Rotarians Craig and Bonita and of course my wife, Bernie.
As I have already stated I am thankful for every volunteer hour from all our Rotarians, but several of our members have put in a tremendous number of hours already and I thank them for that.  I am hesitant to single out individuals, but to those of you who have dedicated so much time, thank you again.
I would also like to thank and recognize all the non-Rotarian volunteers who have committed so much time in receiving, sorting, cleaning and organizing the donated items.  There have been many people helping, but three individuals who have stood out for giving countless hours of their time are Deb Neigum, Marilyn MacDuff and Shelley Bates
For all of you who are going to be helping this afternoon at the sale I encourage you to gather in the curling rink for the kickoff opening ceremony at 4:30.   Ed Lee has graciously agreed to say a few words and officially open the sale.

Hope to See you there!

Scott
