AGM
  • Treasurers Audited Financial Statement – Distributed with minutes that were emailed out. Reviewed by Rebekah, Eugene, Mike W. and by Jack Seawalt as an external. Laurel motions to accept the audited financial statement as presented. Seconded by Corey.  – Passed.      Ebony motions “to accept Jack S as next years external auditor” – Seconded by Dawn. Passed
  • Nominations for Executive – Motion to accept the nomination of members by Erwin. By Dawn, Seconded by Bruce. Discussion:  Bruce asked if it was too late to add a president to that list. Being not too late, Bruce motions to add Kirby to that list as next years president. Seconded by Dave. Discussion: Kirby is willing to Consider it.  Returning to the existing list of proposed executive for next year. Motion Carried.
 
Business
  • New Name Badges (Quick Update) – Templates were handed out, return them and we may have Badges to assemble next week.
  • Vermilion Senior Centre Funding Request  Bruce Motions “That the Rotary Club of Vermilion donate $1100 for the cost of setting up motion lights and timed lights at the Vermilion Senior Citizen Centre” Seconded by – Scott.  Discussion: they have had several break-ins lately. They have a quote of around $1100 to install lights using a local contractor. Motion for funds Carried
  • District Curling February 22-25 – Eugene is wondering if the Club would be interested in hosting the Rotary Curling for the 2024 year. We have hosted twice in the past. This is not designed to be a fundraiser, typically it is a break even event. Bruce Motions To take up the option to propose hosting the Rotary Curling event in 2024. – Seconded by Kirby Motion Carried
