- Flags-Erwin- Flag are all picked up and the numbers look good. 265 flags have been paid for totaling$15,900. Great job everyone! 392 flags were placed in the community with 265 paid for, leaving 127 people who have not paid and will not be receiving one if we don’t receive payment. These people may have been unable to connect with one of us so it was suggested that we set up a call sheet and contact them. The next flag set up is scheduled for Thursday, June 25 so we should try calling prior to that date. Another suggestion was to call the paper and perhaps get some coverage to encourage people to support the project in time for Canada Day. Erwin thanked all members for their help with the Flag Project.
- 2020/21 budget-Mike would like to discuss the budget with his executive, so club discussion is tabled to June 4 business meeting.
- Volunteer hours-Mary Lee reminded everyone to update their volunteer hours and email them back to her today!
- Membership Survey-Janine had some technical issues sending out her powerpoint presentation, everyone should have received a copy of this now from Mary Lee.
- Lakeland College-Colleen Symes contacted Mary Lee asking for feedback on a presentation they would like to do. Alice Stewart-Wainwright, President of Lakeland College, will be doing an online video presentation regarding the latest budget news, programming changes and LLC response to the Covid19 pandemic. They are curious as to when this presentation would be best attended ie early morning breakfast meeting, lunchtime meeting or evening meeting. Majority of the Rotarians in attendance today were in favor of an early morning meeting/presentation.
- Eugene received the refund from the Rotary Youth exchange. No funds received from Tim yet though
- Mary Lee is looking for guest speakers for our zoom meeting, she has reached out to some people but nothing firm as of yet. If you know of anyone or have a topic you would like to speak on, just let her know
Sargent report- Fining myself for stepping away from the meeting and missing the sergeants report
Meeting adjourned
