- Thank you to Team 2 for breakfast
- Mary Lee & Lisa attended the Lakeland College awards night and presented Yasin Demirtas with the Rotary award, a thank you card from Yasin is circulating. Yanas is a young man from Turkey attending Lakeland College and he would like to come and speak to our group at one of our morning meetings.
- Honorary member Beckie Scott joined Rotary and our Vermilion Rotary club March 15, 2002

- “Save the Date” Sunday, May 3, 2020 for our annual Charter Night and Integrity Awards
- Rotary Garage Sale-Brenda reported that planning has begun! There was some general discussion around organizations that can assist us with lifting and moving of furniture. St. Jerome’s leadership group will assist, Brenda will also contact the Outreach School, JR Robson and other various organizations that have helped us in the past or that we have reached out to help this past year. We need to decide where our first $5000 will go so we can utilize this info in our advertising. Brenda proposed for consideration that the first $5000 be put towards our commitment to the Ice Plant. Brenda Lee then made a motion that the first $5000 from the Garage Sale be used towards our current commitment to the Ice Plant. Dawn Riley seconded. Motion carried.
- Mary Lee received a letter from the principal of St Jerome’s, Allan Chase, requesting a contribution to their carnival’s silent auction for their Leadership club. The letter was received too late to make a contribution, however, the executive thought to make a donation to the Leadership club in lieu of a contribution. The Leadership club does help out at the Rotary Garage sale and Brenda let us know that 10% of the money made at the G-Sale does go back to the youth groups, the St Jerome’s Leadership club included. The St Jerome’s carnival also receives the “prestine” stuffies sorted at the G-Sale to give as prizes. It was decided that we would not do a donation at this time and Mary Lee will contact Allan Chase with our apologies for the late reply.
- Books for Belize-Robin is in favor of doing another sea-can of books to send to Belize. He believes this is a valuable project and would like to see it continue. He has storage area for more books and doesn’t see the need for a new sea-can for a couple of years. The main focus is on childrens books and school supplies are definitely needed.
- Mary Lee received a thank you from the Music Festival and 5 tickets for the final performance on Sunday March 29. Let her know if you are interested in attending on behalf of the club
- Flags-Erwin let the club know that the supplies are in to refurbish the flags. Stay tuned for a sign-up sheet for a fix flags work bee. He is also hoping to set up a table for Flag sales on the Saturday of the G-Sale.
- Kirby play the “reveal” video which showed Katen(our exchange student) finding out which country she was headed to(Austria). She was super excited!
- Doreen McCaw extended an invitation to the Irish Pub Night being held March 21. This event is their clubs largest fundraiser and proceeds go to the Lloydminster Sexual Assault center
