FILA-Kirby received information that a student from Cold Lake is interested in the Rotary youth exchange program but this program does not exist in Cold Lake. She has been looking for sponsorship through other Rotary Clubs but hasn’t been able to find a club to do so. The mail problem is finding a school able to accept an inbound student in exchange. Since our club has no exchange student this year, Kirby wondered if we would be able to sponsor her. This raised the question to our club on whether or not we could find a school to accept an inbound student based on funding. This is a time sensitive issue but left questions unanswered. Kirby is looking further into things with the principals of the schools and we will discuss at a later date.
Sea-Can - Robin and Brenda have around 800 boxes of books ready to be loaded into the Sea-Can for the Books to Belize project. A sign-up sheet is circulating…….
Christmas games and fellowship
Sargent report- I am fining myself this week for fellowshipping through the Sargent’s report and thinking I would remember what Erwin said to record later.
