Project Review-Hot Lunch:  Dawn Riley
VES Hot Lunch program provided meals Tues-Thurs each week.  Between 150-220 students are served each lunch. Rotary has been helping with VES Hot Lunch program for almost three years. We volunteer every third Tuesday of the month, which coincides with a day that Dawn is at VES.  Hot Lunch requires 3-4 volunteers for about 1 ½ hour (11:30-1:00pm), for a total of about 36 hours per year. The volunteers serve lunch and help with clean-up of trays, carts, and kitchen.  The greatest success is Rotarian and child engagement. It is also a good community service project. The kids love it and the volunteers have fun. It can be a challenge to get volunteers signed up but the shifts always get filled.  Viability of the project is not a concern.

Vermilion Wellness Coalition: Pat Calyniuk
The Vermilion Wellness Coalition was created in 2011 to promote healthy community-socially, emotionally, and physically. In addition to non-instructional day activities, the Coalition also has activities on Family Day and Canada Day. Other activities are cooking club, outreach cooking with seniors, golf lessons, mini-golf, geocaching, coming soon will be a Block party kit.  The Vermilion Wellness Coalition advertises on the town website. For non-instructional day activities reminders are entered into student agenda (VES), there are posters in schools, it is also added to the Info TV at the high school.

Sargent Report:  A past project: From 2005-2011 we held the Adventures in Firefighting.  Fines: Any fines you give today will go to Santa’s Anonymous-another project that Pat is involved with.  In the next three seconds-- “9” ??, in the 12 Days of Christmas.
