New Business:
- The executive received a funding request from Brighter Beginnings for a specialized wheelchair for one of the children attending their program. Susan Kern, director of the program, sent a video to the club to explain the need for the special wheelchair. The child currently is unable to sit with the rest of the class at the table for crafts, meals and other activities as his chair will not fit under the table. The new chair will allow him to pull up to the table and be included with his peers. The cost for the chair is $4000.00 Bruce made a motion to give $2000.00 to Brighter Beginnings to assist with the purchase of the chair. Lorne seconded. Brenda asked if club members could get an update on finances prior to voting on the motion to get a recent picture of club funds. Eugene will provide an update. Brenda made a motion to table the motion on the floor. Mary Lee seconded. Motion tabled to future meeting.
- Foundation Funds: there is $1700 in the Foundation Fund. Eugene wants to know how members would like to distribute the money. Brenda recommends that members send copies of their receipts to Eugene and then at an executive meeting a more formal plan can be drawn up. This will be discussed at the Executive zoom meeting Tuesday December 8 at 5:30
