Laurel unveiled this years banner and distributed the new pins. Theme this year “Serve to Change Lives”
Rotary has introduced a Seventh Avenue of Service-The Environment. The club watched a short video showing Rotary’s commitment to helping our environment
Guest Speaker-Ella Smith RYPEN- Ella is a grade 9 student who attended the Zoom RYPEN camp earlier this year. She gave a brief power point presentation showcasing the topics covered and the format they followed. She hopes to be an exchange student when she becomes eligible.
Announcements:
Offsite meeting next Thursday July 29 at Burnt Rock. A sign up sheet is circulating.
Flag set up will commence next Tues/Wed. Erwin will be sending out a reminder email
Kirby will be setting up Christina’s Community BBQ in front of his store after the parade on July 29. He’s excited to be including Mini-donuts this year!!! All proceeds will go to the VES Hot lunch program. If you are interested in helping out, give Kirby a call at the store 780-853-5355
Cash draw tickets should be in by August 1.
Sargent’s report-Greg fined himself for driving straight to work last week instead of turning torwards the regional center for the meeting.
