New Business:
- Ice Plant List of Naming Rights-Our club donated $50,000. Mike will talk to Kevin Martin for more clarification on where exactly the locations are and how is will look i.e. decal, banner etc. We will need to decide at next weeks’ meeting.
- VES Hot lunch program-executive discussed giving an additional $250 for their Hot Lunch program. Mike reached out to St Jerome’s and JR Robson and they were both finding the need for extra funds this year. He wasn’t able to contact Outreach. Bruce MacDuff made a motion to send a one time additional donation to each of the 4 schools for their lunch program. Lorne Maier seconded. All in favor. Motion carried.
- Community Spirits Raffle-revenue from raffle $8465. The executive discussed a possible split of $5000 to the Ice Plant and $3465 to the Food Bank. Mary Lee Prior made the motion to split the revenue $5000 to the Ice Plant and $3465 to the Food bank. Brenda Lee seconded. All in favor. Motion carried
- Flags-first flag set-up May long weekend(May 19). We are able to set up a table at the coop. Probably May 1 weekend and May for flag tune-up. Shawn has set up a website link that is now live. 334 flags sold last year so we are hoping to do the same or better. Check drop off at Modern Edge painting. Flag placement the first weekend is on the house just as last year…..so we don’t need to have payment until after the first flag is placed
- RYLA and RYLE camps. Registration cut off is today. We only have one student registered this year so Dawn will find a way to get her set up.
- Whatever Floats your Boat-kayak launch at the park. Loretta brought this idea to Mike. He also mentioned it to Peter Walsh and he thought this would be a good idea. We would be looking at about $1000 for a cost on this project. Mike will bring more information forward to the club. Members were in favor of looking into this more
