Old Business
- Community Spirits draw-Draw date next Wednesday. Still time to sell your tickets.
- RYPEN, RYLA and Adventures ion Citizenship are all going ahead virtually this year. Shawn asked if we were including a lunch card or something as part of attending considering it is online
- Inclusion Alberta-The executive meeting on Monday night featured special guests-1) Wendy McDonald, Chief Operating Officer for Inclusion Alberta an organization that seeks to find meaningful employment for adults with development disabilities in the community. 2)Robin Acton, former president of Inclusion Alberta and member of the Lloydminster Rotary club. 3)Jim Ferguson deputy district governor. The guests discussed how Rotary Employment partnerships have been successful in other communities and now Vermilion is lucky to have been included in this opportunity and funding has been secured. Wendy would like to come and present to the members the role our club would play and the benefits to the residents of Vermilion. Mike was just recently informed that we had been approved and the funding had been secured to expand the Employment Partnership to the Vermilion area. He was not aware of this project and was surprised to learn of the approval to expand, therefore, he wanted to make club members aware of it and also to have the presentation to the club prior to any decision being made. We will likely have the presentation when we can meet in person.
- Harvest Gala 2021-cancelled in its usual format for this year. We discussed booking the Regional Center with the hopes of holding some kind of event in the fall. Anyone interested in helping out or if you have any ideas for a function……please contact Shawn
