POLIO

NOW

Please join us on Zoom for an evening with author, Dr. Hannah Wunsch, a Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, University of Toronto, as well as a Canadian Research Chair in Critical Care Organization and Outcomes, who recently moved to Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.We will discuss her new book, "The Autumn Ghost: How the Battle Against a Polio Epidemic Revolutionized Modern Medical Care." She will share her valuable insights with us and enhance our connectivity to Polio today, while sharing the account of how the battle against a mid-century polio epidemic sparked a revolution in medical care.

The RCBS will host this evening Zoom meeting, Tues Oct 24th, from 6-7pm.

Her book, "The Autumn Ghost: How the Battle Against a Polio Epidemic Revolutionized Modern Medical Care" is available to order through Titcombe's Bookshop in Sandwich. Eight Cousins in Falmouth has 2 in stock but before you go to either store, call and they can put it aside for pick up. Additionally, I have confirmed the Sandwich Public Library does not have a copy today but they are trying to get one. They confirmed in the CLAMS network the Falmouth, Harwich, Mashpee, and Woods Hole Branches have one each.
