- 86% of high school students say the most important skill they need post-graduation is understanding personal finance; only 30% believe their schools are preparing them.

- Young adults who receive financial education are less likely to carry credit card debt, and more likely to apply to and receive college grants and financial aid.

-1 in 5 American 15-year-olds don’t understand basic financial concepts. Students with a bank account scored on average 42 points higher than those students who do not.

For more than a decade, high school students across Massachusetts and beyond have participated in Credit for Life Fairs where students learn the real-life budgeting and money management skills they will use throughout their lifetime.

Thanks to the efforts and support of a number of banks and non-profit organizations, Credit for Life is now available through this interactive website so that Massachusetts’ young adults can enjoy these important financial lessons without leaving their desks or classrooms.

The goal? To learn to live within their budget.
