Another Rotary year has come to a close, and what a wonderful evening we had celebrating together at our Annual Changeover Dinner at the Stony Plain Legion.
We enjoyed a great burger supper, fellowship, and a chance to reflect on another successful year before conducting our annual changeover meeting.
One of the highlights of the evening was recognizing two outstanding award recipients.
Integrity AwardThis award recognizes a non-Rotarian who exemplifies Rotary's Four-Way Test in both their business and personal life while being a strong supporter of Rotary. Congratulations to Mike Klein of Stellar Homes, a very deserving recipient whose integrity, generosity, and commitment to our community embody the values Rotary strives to promote.
Rotarian of the YearPresented to a club member who lives the ideals of the Four-Way Test and consistently goes above and beyond in service to our club and community. Congratulations to Mary Purschke for her outstanding dedication and leadership.
We were also pleased to recognize longtime club member Wally Ross, who is becoming an Honorary Rotarian this year and he received his third Paul Harris Fellow pin this evening. Congratulations Wally!
Our outgoing President, Lorraine Stewart, wrapped up the evening with a wonderful "Year in Review" slideshow that reminded us just how much our club accomplished over the past year. From community projects and fundraising to fellowship and service, it has been a year to be proud of.
Finally, we officially welcomed our new President, Lisa Gilchrist, who unveiled her theme for the coming Rotary year:
