At the Friday Dec 9th club meeting members Phil Beckman and Angie Akmakjian recited a poem about the "Dictionary Project"... The poem and presentation were so good that they received a standing ovation... For those who weren't at the meeting, here is the poem;
"Dictionary Project"

T'was the night before Christmas, when all thro' the school, not a creature was stirring, the building was so cool.
The decorations still hung by the office with care, in hopes that the Mid-Cities Pacesetters Rotary Club soon would be there.
The children were nestled at home in their beds, while visions of Dictionaries danced in their heads.
When out in the parking lot there arose such a clatter, there were boxes of books and a lot of chit chatter.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but an SUV full of books and 35 Rotary volunteers.
More rapid than eagles they unloaded books. One of the club members looked just like Garth Brooks.
This reference guide is sure to educate, enlighten and inspire every 3rd grade classmate.
These books have definitions of every word and a list of the Presidents that we have concurred.
It lists every planet, each country and state, the periodic table and measurements of weight.
It lists the longest word and the alphabet in braille, declaration of independence, and constitution in detail.
The books are made possible by generous funders that care that BISD students learn about all the wonders.
They left all the books for the students to have and some copies for teachers to assist with the navigation.
The driver lay a finger aside of his nose and giving a nod, down the freeway he goes.
They all jumped in cars, one member gave a whistle, and away the Mid-Cities Pacesetters Rotarians flew, like the down of a thistle.
But I heard them exclaim, as they drove out of sight - May your Dictionary bring learning and be a delight...
