This year's Open World delegates were a special group of individuals. We thought it would be a good idea if you got to know them better. So, we will be profiling one delegate each week and this week we will be profiling Joanna Fratczak Kazana...
Joanna is 48 years old, married to Arkadiusz with one son 19 years old and one daughter 14 years old. She graduated with a Marketing degree from Henley Business School and a post-graduate degree in Marketing & Management from Warsaw School of Management. She speaks Polish, Russian, and English. In her pastime she enjoys Art, figure skating, and literature. she also volunteers at Emoc.pl Foundation as a consultant on the development of strategies and educational content for young people. Her career has taken her to be "Head of Patient Support Programs" at Alivia Oncology Foundation. (www.alivia.org.pl) At Alivia Cancer Foundation we work to ensure that everyone has equal access to the best cancer care, we stand up for the dignity of cancer patients and create tools to help them make good decisions about their health. As Head of Patient Support Programs Joanna works with a team on the analysis of cancer patients' unmet needs, watchdog activities, monitoring of the healthcare system in Poland, and advocacy.
On a personal note, Joanna was a complete delight. Immensely curious, always smiling, and always had ONE more question to ask. I am fortunate to call her a friend...
