What's A "Million Dollar Meal"?

That's a pretty expensive breakfast you have there. Actually a Million Dollar Meal is no meal at all, but a way to give to the Rotary Foundation. The Million Dollar Meal concept was started in 1959 by a club in our district ( Stoughton). It is now an established part of Rotary International fundrasing for The Rotary Foundation.

The Rotary Club of Yarmouth has two Million Dollar Meals each year; one on the friday after Thanksgiving and the other the friday after Christmas. There is no meeting on those days, but you do pay your normal breakfast fee. We bill you for those two meals as a part of your yearly dues to make it easy for us to collect. One of the Million Dollar Meals goes to The Rotary Foundation and the other is for our Good Works fund.

So roll over in bed next friday and get some extra sleep, when you wake up "you'll feel like a million".
