Fellow Rotarians:
The history of the Heritage Mile dates back to Rotarian John Ashton and Chair of the Heritage Mile Foundation, portraying the heritage of Broadmoor Boulevard and installing various monuments and plaques along the Boulevard. Rotary was part of the project, including the Rotary entrance plaza at Baseline Road and Sherwood Drive. However, Broadmoor Boulevard signage has remained without a visual Heritage Mile Signage until 2023 approval by Strathcona Council. The result is the following invitation that all Rotarians are invited to attend:
"I just wanted to reach out to you [Dennis Pommen and John Ashton] about the Heritage Mile Naming. We would like to do a small celebration close to when we install the new signs for the Heritage Mile.
