The Rotary Club of North Kingstown was chartered in June of 1970. Meetings were held at the Kingstown Inn which is located at the present location of the vacated Bank of America Building on Post Road. By 1979 the Club was holding their meetings at the Quonset "O" Club, later at Gregg's Restaurant on Quaker Lane, and most currently at Duffy's Tavern on Tower Hill.
Starting with a small nucleus of business and professional men, the Club over the years has grown to include both men and women who embrace the motto "Service Above Self". These members are dedicated to community service and international understanding.
Part of Rotary is fellowship with your fellow Rotarians and sitting down to a satisfying mean and listening to an interesting speaker. The Club has engaged in many such speakers over the years.
The Rotary Club of North Kingstown is continually involved in fundraising activities, benefiting both the community and areas in the nation and the world beyond.
