A gathering of approximately 50 including friends and families of our Rotarians gathered at the Free Spirit Ranch to cap off a fantastic year.

After a catered BBQ feast President Joe Dwyer thanked everyone present for making our little Club the huge success it has become in it's 32 year journey. For example, this year a multi year project, the LAV III Monument east of Morinville, was completed.

Long time member Brian Reed was awarded the coveted " Rotarian of the Year Award" in no small part due to his involvement in the aforementioned project. Brian is also our Chairperson for the Rotary International Foundation and he said a few words explaining all the good they do in the world, including the drive to eradicate Polio. Many members of Brian's family were on hand including his very proud Mom!

Member Carol Haley was present and accepted her Paul Harris award for her donations to the Foundation.
Incoming Club President Alan Otway recognized several past presidents in the crowd and thanked them for their service. Alan brings a wealth of organizational skills to the Club so we are sure to be in for an exciting year! Our year kicks off with the first annual Rippin' Rotary Beer Gardens at the Sturgeon " County Bounty" July 13 & 14 located in Cardiff Park.
Finally I want to recognize our hosts, Gord & Rene Putnam and the Free Spirit Ranch they built, for a first class venue for the evening. Coupled with a warm and sunny evening and wonderful folks, it was perfect!!
