Hello from Argentina!!!!

As of today, Tuesday, October 2nd, I have been in my new city of Catamarca, Argentina for a month!

I have been blessed with an amazing first family and a great group of exchangers.

Life here goes at a much slower pace than I am used to......to say the least.  The Rotary in Catamarca is not very active at all except for the outbounds who are always planning comething for everyone.  Spanish is proving difficult to learn, but I hope that the process will speed up after is start lessons next week.

My school is very small (even compared to Beaverlodge) but everyone is helpful.  I also go to school with three inbounds and three outbounds.  School is from 8:00am to 1:00pm every day, Monday to Friday.

I share a house with four sisters, a mother and father.  All are very nice and very patient with me.  My host brother will return from Germany in November.  They also have three dogs and two cats, all of which quickly warmed up to me, especially the one cat that now "shares" my bed.

I have been learning to ride and play Polo which has been great fun!!  Got to a full gallop and "punched" the ball.

I went to Cordoba spring orientation a couple of weeks ago and met a cool group of people.  I have registered to go on a South Argentia trip the end of October for 17 days.  That should be fun and I am looking forward to it.

The first month has been an adventure, but all is well and I am looking forward to what is next.
