Oiler's Training Camp

It took us three months to get it wrapped up dealing back and forth with the Oilers and taking care of a lot of post-event details, but the 2006 Edmonton Oilers Training Camp has finally been put to bed. Each of the three sponsoring groups will receive a cheque for about $50,000. We were very fortunate this event basically sold out and the sponsorship response was outstanding. As you know the camp had a huge affect on this area and from all reports received the Oilers were thrilled. They have now been inundated with requests from other communities to come to their area. The Oilers said Grande Prairie raised the bar so high it will be very difficult for another community to reach the level achieved in our city.
