We have a very special meeting this week. Our speaker is David Sallee a former member of the club, past president of William Jewell College, and current Director of In As Much Ministry.
We are also celebrating a birthday for one of our very special members-Jim Tanner! Jim joined the club July 1st, 1989. He researched and produced a history of the club which is available in hardback version. Stop by and celebrate with us during the meeting today!
See you Wednesday,

Committee News: Shoes for Orphan Souls 2024
Mitch Gloor, 20224 Shoe Chairman, is accepting shoes at every meeting ...so pick up shoes whenever you see them on sale!
This year our district is competing with two other districts and we need to make D6040 the "Shoe Champion."
Polio Plus Society Kicks Off - District 6040 is pleased to kick off the PolioPlus Society in an effort to increase sustainable giving. The PolioPlus Society (PPS) was formed to encourage Rotarians to commit to a minimum of $100 per year to the PolioPlus Fund until polio is eradicated from the face of the earth. Any Rotary member in our District that pledges to give at least $100.00 per year by October 24th, 2023 to Polio Plus, may submit an Application and become a Charter member of the Polio Plus Society. If you have already given $100.00 or more since July 1st of this Rotary year, you can apply for the Membership and be a Charter Member of our Polio Plus Society.

Committee News: Administrative-Billing
-The finance committee has been very busy over the last several months working to simplify and organize the club's billing. Starting with the July 2023 bills you will receive two bills: one from the Club via ClubRunner for your club dues and meals, and one from the Club Foundation via Quickbooks for Happy $'s and Club Foundation donations. You will start receiving billing from both this month. Yes, you will now have to pay two bills but the back side money tracking for our two treasurers is much less complicated!
-If you have questions contact: Linda Hicks,Club Treasurer, or David Evans, Club Foundation Treasurer.
If you would like to update your billing options submit a new billing form.
Committee News: "Content Creator" Assignments
-This year members have been assigned a week where they are going to be the "Content Creator" for the week's meeting. Literally we pulled names out of a cup!
-Content can include a speaker, games, field trips, or whatever content can imagined! Program Chair,Doreen Scarborough, will be available to assist with ideas and to coordinate dates as needed.
-The list of "Content Creator" assignments can be found inClubRunner under volunteers . (You need to be logged in to ClubRunner in order to view the assignments using this link.) The assignment sheet also shows where Happy $'s for each month are targeted.
