2/5/2025 NO MEETING today Due to Icy Weather. Our club follows Liberty Public Schools for weather closures, if they close, we close. We have reached out to our speaker to reschedule so keep your eye on the speaker list and GO CHIEFS!
Hello Fellow Rotarians!
Guess who is coming to lunch this week??????? No, not Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, and Sidney Poitier but instead we will have K-9 Kratos. He is going to bring Sergeant Ty Edwards with the Clay County Sheriff's K-9 Unit with him for company.
February has arrived and our push to collect shoes for the Shoes for Orphan Souls project has officially started. Our goal this year is 650 pairs of shoes so start shopping or donate funds and our "supper shoppers" will shop for you! Happy dollars for the month of February and March will go toward Shoes for Orphan Souls. So far 180 pairs have been turned in to our collection location at VSI. Ask Mitch for collection boxes for your business.
February is also the month that we gather sponsors for Butt Buster '25 BBQ so reach out to your friends/neighbors/businesses and find more sponsors. Our goal for BB '25 is $25,000.
Our club will be sponsoring a table for ten at Hillcrest Hope's Night of Hope Gala 2025. We already have 7 signed up for the event on 3/15/2025 that is being held at Heritage Hall in Liberty Click here to sign up for a "seat at the table" for $120.

District Grant: Flooring Repairs at Hillcrest Hope Apt: Our workday Friday 1/24/25 was very productive, apt #6 is done except for the trim. The flooring crew decided that more prep work needs to be done in Apt #3 so we did not have a workday on 2/1/25. A new volunteer list will be sent out when a workday has been chosen.
Rotary Plaza: De-Lighting : Our work crew, thank you Ken Barry, took advantage of the excellent weather Tuesday to take down the holiday lights from the yellow umbrellas.
There are still some lights on the trees that need to come down so keep you eyes out for the next "pop-up" work day at Rotary Plaza.
