Our "Literacy Contest" sponsored by Show Me Rotary PETS 2024 started February 1st and will run through March 15th. Winners will be announced at PETS March 22nd. There are two ways to participate: read to anyone for an hour and get 1o points, donate cash to purchase books and get 1 point for every dollar. So on February start a log of all the reading sessions you have and/or donate some cash. We are also applying Happy Dollars for February to the contest. We are setting up some opportunities to read at Liberty Public Schools and also at Wellington Senior center, stay tuned!
Last but by no means least: keep collecting shoes!
I am traveling along Route 66 to Arizona to do some bicycling and next Wednesday I will be "Standing on the corner of Winslow Arizona." I will miss the next two meetings but I am leaving the club in the capable hands of President Elect Jennifer Rodgers.

Mitch Gloor, 2024 Shoe Chairman, is accepting shoes at every meeting ...so pick up shoes whenever you see them on sale! Thanks to Kimbal we are able to store shoes at VSI so we have plenty of room to store shoes.
