Wow it is a good thing we were late sending out this bulletin because guess what???? It was bad icy weather again today, 3/4/25, and our meeting was cancelled!
We were able to move our speaker for this week to next week, so next week we will hear from our former club member, Mayor of Liberty, Greg Canuteson. He will be answering all our questions about the April 8th ballot issue-1% Sales Tax Increase to support Liberty Public Safety Department. These services are very important to the quality of life that you expect in Liberty and it is important to get accurate answers to your questions......so come to the meeting and bring your friends!
We are now in March, our month to push our shoe/sock collection efforts. Happy shopping and/or donate funds and our professional shoppers will be happy to spend it for you!
March is also when our Scholarship committee is hard at work and they need help, so if you have time reach out to me and I will put you together with the committee.
We are also in full planning swing to create the 11th Annual Butt Buster BBQ. At this time we are gathering sponsorships and there is plenty of time for you to reach out to businesses that you know! Next week was supposed to be Committee work day and we will be learning/working through lunch so we can get some planning for BB '25 done.

District Grant: Flooring Repairs at Hillcrest Hope Apt: Breaking News: the flooring in our sponsored apartment #6 is complete. Lets give a huge shoutout to the flooring crew! More work needs to be done in apartment 3, so keep alert for more District Grant service workdays!
Rotary Plaza: Update -The lights are down for this season except for the Blue Spruce & they will be down soon. Thanks to our work crew: Ken Barry and Mitch Gloor for all their assistance this season! The next work day at Rotary Plaza will be April 5th - Mulch Day! We plan to add a storage facility to the west of the pavilion this spring. Mulch Day we will be taking out the bushes by the west door. Mark has agreed to bring his chain and truck! He and Frank had so much fun removing the last set of brushes we needed removed, too bad Frank will not be available!
