Our club has been challenged to collect "Gently Used" books to be taken to District Conference, May 30-31. The district is collecting books for a literacy project which will place the books in the Little Free Libraries. Reed has special bags that were handed out at PETS that we are to fill based on the size of our club.
Community Service: Make Music Day June 21st will be here before you know it but we are prepared! Since it is on a Saturday it will start at 8am (same start time as Farmer's Market) and only last until 6pm. We have a full schedule of performers, some that we have heard in past years and some new acts. We will be looking for "Plaza Hosts" to be at the Plaza during the day so keep you eyes out for volunteer lists. So far Cathie, Randy, and Jay have stepped up to help but there is room for more. This is a very easy gig, all you have to do is welcome the performs and guests, offer them water, and tell them where the bathroom is. No heavy lifting required!
Rotary Plaza Update: New group at Rotary Plaza
We have a new group, Saturday Coffee Walkers, starting this Saturday. They will meet at the Plaza, warm up, go for a walk making a stop at the HDLI Farmer's Market, and then get some coffee. We are delighted to have groups utilizing the Plaza and it helps spread the "work" of Rotary.
