Committee Update: Shoes for Orphan Souls
This will be the 22nd year of collecting shoes.  This year shoes will be going to Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.  The goal is to collect 15,199.  If we can achieve this goal, we will eclipse a cumulative amount of 400,000 pairs of shoes over these 22 years. Shoe collection will take place at the end of April prior to District Conference. Watch for volunteer lists!

April 2023 RI Presidental Message

April 2023      Introducing the Rotary Youth Network

How do you take the best from the worst?

None of us will forget how the pandemic altered our world and our lives. Each of us had to traverse this period of uncertainty, and no one had a free pass from the effects.

I personally believe this has created space for a different kind of global leadership — one that is courageous, empathetic, and vulnerable. I met my good friend Anniela Carracedo online in early 2020. She is one such leader, and I'm thrilled to turn this month's column over to her.

ROTARY ZONES 30-31:    Please review the Disaster Response video message from Director Elizabeth Usovicz. You can view the video here.

The video contains information on our upcoming Disaster Response Virtual Training, as well as information on contributing to relief efforts in Mississippi.

The biggest challenge is being properly prepared when a disaster strikes. On April 11 you will learn from “now” seasoned Rotary leaders on the issues and factors that they had to work through in a very short time frame with restricted resources and limited information. Click here to register for the Disaster Preparedness Workshop happening on April 11th starting at 5:00 p.m. Central, 6:00 p.m. Eastern.
